Well as some of you may know and for those who don’t, my name is Rosanna and I’m a 53 yr old mom of 3 and mimi of 9. And I’m going to start my story back in 2010 when after battling my weight for my whole life I was given the opportunity to finally get some help with my issues which by then were extensive.  I am only 5ft 0in tall and  weighed in at almost 300lbs with diabetes,  high blood pressure, sleep apnea, a heart murmer, and beta thalassemia like I said it wasn’t pretty. After years of working with numerous doctors to trying to get my weight and diet under control I was finally approved for gastric bypass surgery.

In October 2010 I had the surgery and 6 months of recovery later I lost about 40lbs. In January of 2011 I decided to go back to school to be a medical assistant, and in the end part of that year at 150lbs lighter and a recent graduate I was accepted into a small family run weight loss practice with my history and back ground it was a great fit.  So in 2015 my family experienced a tragedy that nobody should ever have to go through. We lost our 20yr old daughter in a car accident in New York 1300 miles from home.   Understandably, my recovery from that trauma was extensive. My cortisol levels went through the roof and I began gaining the weight back. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t seem to get it off. My exercise, my diet, everything had remained the same. But due to my cortisol levels and my body stress functions, I was not able to get it off. So in 2017 I finally decided to go back on the road with my husband as an over the road truck driver, we had driven as a team many years ago, and decided to try it again since the kids were all grown.

However being back on the truck had its own challenges and the weight continued to increase. In June of 2023 I finally had hit around 260 pounds when our company insurance decided we needed to have a yearly visit to keep our insurance.  At which point seeing my levels and weight were elevated again our Dr. decided to try me on Monjaro instead of the Metformin and glipizide combo I was on, due to my extra high and extra low spikes I was having.  That is when I found carnivore and Dr. Ken Berry! I have since gone on to lose 160lbs yes that is ONE HUNDRED AND SIXTY pounds! It actually took me around 10 months to get most of it off and the rest has been loose skin and trying to build some muscle.  So this is my journey so far…

Please join me for the rest and now my mission is to help my loving devoted husband if 35 years to gain better health, so far thru many trials he had succeeded to lose about 90lbs from 360lbs to 270lbs following the keto/carnivore lifestyle.  As well as I so enjoy helping others and really want to fulfill my calling I feel that God has given my these challenges and solutions to make my testimony easier for others to relate to and I know if he can save my life the least I can do is try to help others succeed!
